PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT SERVICE
Several Westchester local public school districts provide bus service to a student who attends school outside of the district, if the school is more than three (3), but no more than fifteen (15) miles from the student's home. Residents must contact their school districts for this service by April 1st for the following school year.

CRESTWOOD VAN SERVICE (Metro North Harlem Line)
Students in the Crestwood area and those who ride the Metro North's Harlem Line can use this Iona Prep van service that is available in the morning and twice in the afternoon - at 3:00PM and again after most activities. The current cost for this service is $400.00 per school year.
There is a 7:45am ONLY pickup at the White Plains train station for students who travel south to Iona Prep
RYE VAN SERVICE
There is also an Iona van service from the Rye Metro North train station which serves areas as far north as Stamford, CT. Morning pickup at 7:30 am and return trip 5:00 pm.
BUSES FROM THE BRONX
- NYC "Metro Cards" are available through the Admission Office to all New York City students who ride the Bronx (MTA) buses.
- Some county bus routes (#42, 45, 60, 61) serve the Bronx and connect with the Bee Line Special #45 at North Avenue and Huguenot Street in New Rochelle. Students have to purchase the Metro Cards that are accepted on these buses.
BEE LINE "SPECIAL #45" BUS
Westchester County provides a "Special #45" bus for Iona Prep students who come from the Bronx, who come from north or south on the Metro North's New Haven Line, or who live in New Rochelle. This special bus makes one trip that starts at 7:45 AM (North Avenue Bridge Street by the train station) in downtown New Rochelle and comes to our front door. The return trip is at 3:00PM and returns to downtown New Rochelle. There is no late bus. If a student misses the "Special #45" he has to walk to or from the Prep to North Avenue, a distance of about 1/2 mile.
- Reduced Fare Tokens are available to New Rochelle residents only and can be purchased at City Hall.
- All other students who ride this bus or any other county Bee Line bus can use a Metro Card that can be purchased at many stores, bus and subway stations. More info: 914-813-7777.
