1. How much does Iona Prep cost?
    Cost for the 2010 - 2011 school year is $14,200 which includes all of the following:
  • tuition
  • textbooks, workbooks, and course readings
  • physical education uniform
  • yearbook
  • activities fee
  • student insurance
  • off-campus service program
  • selected field trips
  • selected sports programs (excluding ice hockey)
2. What about the cost of technology?
    Iona Prep encourages students to use their own laptop computers, but does not
    require a student to do so. It does, however, require that all students purchase a
    graphing calculator. Specifications are announced with registration.
 
3. Does Iona Prep offer tuition plans and is an enrollment deposit required
    each year my son is in school?
    Iona Prep offers flexible payment plans and an enrollment deposit of $500 towards 
    the next year’s tuition is due by April 1st.
 
4. Does Iona Prep offer Financial Assistance?
   Two types of financial assistance are available at Iona Prep - Gael Grants based on
   financial need and Academic Scholarships based on merit. Students may qualify for
   one or both of the following:
 
1. A Gael Grant is a need-based financial award from Iona Prep for qualified students.
    Families complete an application along with sending tax documents to TADS.  To
    apply for a Gael Grant, please go to TADS [Tuition Aid Data Services] at
    www.tuitionaid.com. Iona’s code is 32065.
   
     Gael Grant application dates:
  • Incoming Freshmen Families can file with 2009 tax return and W2 information between Oct 1st through January 31st.  
  • Current Families are required to file with 2010 tax return and W2 information between February 1st through - March 31st
  • Only completed applications will be reviewed. 
  • Applications received after the due date may risk being too late for review. There is an application fee.
  • Transferring Students may apply for a Gael Grant directly to Iona's Financial Aid Committee by supplying the committee with a complete copy of a current tax return and copy of paystub(s).  The is no guarantee of assistance.
 
2. Academic Merit Scholarships
    Students with excellent academic records who score in the top 10% of the
    admissions test, who have outstanding recommendations, and who also score
    in the top 10% of Iona's Academic Scholarship Test will be invited to interview for
    one of the following Merit Scholarships and placement in our Scholars Program
    [STEP or Honors]:
  • Edmund Rice Scholarship: 7 scholarships from $5,000 to $8,000
  • Presidential Scholarship: 10 scholarships from $3500 to $4500
  • Ionian Scholarship: 20 scholarships from $1000 to $3000
